The color of the Universe

According to NASA's Astronomy Photo of the Day (APOD), this is the average color of the universe:



This is possibly the most amazing thing I've seen/read on the Internet in a long time. I think its really beautiful because the amount of darkness that must compose the universe is so vast I cannot even comprehend it.. yet the average color of the whole is unmistakably light.

lol, you know that they discovered this when I was in 8th grade. I had to write short reviews on articles and this was one of the ones Mom and I clipped out. I have never gotten over the fact that the universe is beige! <3
